Did you know that SMEs are losing more than £13.6 billion a year by failing to take care of their legal issues? We know that dealing with legal issues is part of being in business, but we found that SMEs are not very good at dealing with them despite encountering at least 8 per year. These are the findings of a survey we conducted with YouGov to understand what roadblocks are in the way of SMEs. There were 1,000 SMEs interviewed in the UK and the results were analysed by the Centre of Economics and Business Research (CEBR). The results are shocking, with an upper estimate indicating that SMEs are losing more than £13.6 billion a year by failing to take care of their legal issues. .
