In Deborah’s own words…

“I love getting to know a business. In restructuring it happens very quickly! So from a standing start you have to understand how the business works, what the margins are, where the market is going, the relationships with staff, the suppliers, the customers, the Bank….. While it can seem like a grilling, it also is a catalyst to take stock to understand where the business is going and if it is in the right direction.

The advice has to be practical and achieve both legal and business objectives. I have restructured bars, paint factories, shops, exhaust factories, textile companies, I have lost track. They all have their own nuances. I enjoy the intellectual rigour of practical problem solving often trying to ensure that employees stay in jobs.”
